It's a Book by Lane Smith

Amazon Link

It's a Book points out the sharp contrasts in our digital world between how we currently read books electronically, versus simply reading a paperback book. Kids will enjoy this book, but adults may get even more humor out of the obvious generational gap between the monkey and the donkey.

Shape: It’s a Book - The repeated rectangles in It’s a Book, seen in the seating and the pictures on the walls, are suggestive of the shape of books. The ovals and curved shapes are used to show the organic nature of the characters in their simplicity. On the Treasure Island page, the characters in that book are represented with sharper shapes and angles to contrast them with the main characters.
