The Paper Bag Princess is a story about Princess Elizabeth, who has her future all planned out and is slated to marry a prince. That is, until a dragon shows up, torches the place, and takes the prince hostage. Princess Elizabeth has no choice but to don a paper sack as her only means of clothes, and embark on a journey to attempt to save her prince. Will Princess Elizabeth defeat the dragon and live happily ever after??

Line: The Paper Bag Princess - The use of lines in The Paper Bag Princess often convey movement, for example, when the dragon is in motion completing the Princess’s requests. The broken, erratic line art conveys mood, like the Princess’s anger at her misfortune after the dragon burns all of her possessions. The book ends with a picture that uses straight lines that depict happiness and confidence with the setting sun.
